Nuclear Safety: a corporate project for CSI

“Being ISO 19443 certified is a CSI voluntary approach, it is integrated into our business project. This is recognition of our “Quality and Safety” commitment to major international prime contractors,” explains Marie-Élise BARDON, Quality Manager in CSI Nuclear and Industry Business Unit.

An internal organization focused on Nuclear Safety

At CSI we design and manufacture many products that have an impact on nuclear safety, for example spent fuel handling systems or sealing systems guaranteeing the nuclear containment of facilities.

On a daily basis in all of our activities and processes, we deploy a nuclear safety culture, a way of thinking and acting for safety.” says Marie-Élise BARDON. “This nuclear safety culture combined with various elements such as the graded approach or the CFSI control – Counterfeit, Fraudulent, and Suspect Items, is a major asset of our company to meet the challenges of the sector and our customers. »

CSI has set up a Nuclear Safety Culture Committee which ensures the effective implementation of the following provisions:

  1. Deployment and maintenance of a strong Nuclear Safety Culture
  2. Breakdown of IPSN/non-IPSN products & activities and implementation of the graded approach
  3. Control of the subcontracting chain
  4. Traceability
  5. Prevention, identification and control of counterfeit, fraudulent or suspect items (CFSI)

"We must ensure safety and demonstrate that it is ensured by rigor and traceability at all levels of the organization" adds Marie-Élise BARDON.

Through this ISO 19443 certification, CNIM Systèmes Industriels positions itself as a supplier integrating the 360° nuclear safety crucial aspects.
