Clean room assembly, integration and testing

CNIM Systèmes Industriels is equipped with two ISO 5 to 7 clean rooms for assembling, washing, mass integrating, qualifying and testing large format parts.

Measuring 2,300 m2 and 220 m2, these clean rooms boast state-of-the-art equipment for cleaning, sterilising, testing, assembling and ensuring cleanliness on a particulate level.

These operations guarantee the quality of the parts we manufacture.

30 operators are trained in cleanliness and work in our clean rooms. They hold specific qualifications in cleanliness inspections that allow them to implement RGA tests for molecular control in an ultra-clean environment and for the particulate detection and counting required for these environments.

On behalf of the CEA DAM (French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission - Military Applications division, CNIM Industrial Systems has mass produced Frequency Conversion and Laser Beam Focusing Systems for the Laser Mégajoule (LMJ) project. These systems are intended to operate in an ISO 6 environment.

A total of 48 parts were delivered, measuring 3 m long, 1.2 m wide and 2.5 m high and weighing 1.8 tonnes. These large format, highly stable metal structures equipped with optical components have an accuracy of 8 µm.

Virgo is a gravitational wave detector located in Cascina, near Pisa in Italy. CNIM Systèmes Industriels has industrialised, manufactured, tested and assembled in clean rooms more than 6 km of vacuum tubes: 1.10-9 mbar. A total of 404 modules, 15 m long, were produced in 304L stainless steel.

Since 2018, CNIM Systèmes Industriels has been a supplier to a leading semiconductor manufacturer.

From co-design to clean-room assembly, integration and testing, we provide machine structures measuring up to six metres. The levels of precision and cleanliness achieved meet the high requirements of vacuum operation.
