Extremely precise manufacturing for cutting-edge optics

Current CNIM Systèmes Industriels mass manufacturing demonstrate unusual know-how in French industry.

Our workshops in La Seyne-sur-Mer include two ISO 6 to 8 clean rooms. They are dedicated to the assembly of very high quality and ultra-stable welded structures. Those structures can support advanced optics for high-added value equipment qualification or test benches manufacturing.

Laser Mégajoule

The structures (3 mx 1.2 mx 2.5 m; 1.8 tons) carrying the optics for the alignment of the Laser Mégajoule’s laser beams. The manufacturing precision is such that the inspection equipment provided by the CEA reach their limits. High power laser beams require microradian alignment accuracy.

Structures of the lithography machines (frames of 6 m x 3 m x 2 m, weighing several tons) to manufacture the semiconductors.

These structures have complex shapes and require electron beam welding over large thicknesses. Their manufacture requires a very high level of cleanliness, the highest in the history of CNIM Systèmes Industriels.

Cleaning, finishing, clean room integration

Working since 2004 for the military nuclear industry and since 2017 for the semiconductor industry, CNIM Systèmes Industriels has the metrology machines and the clean and gray rooms that enable it to supply large-size welded structures for space applications, with a very high level of precision.

One of our washing machines has the largest stainless steel tank in France: it measures 6000 x 2600 x 1400 mm and thus makes it possible to clean the welded structures at the particle level, ensuring high performance.

3D controls to ensure manufacturing performance

Either with mobile metrology devices such as laser trackers or with our 3D inspection machines in air-conditioned rooms, CNIM Systèmes Industriels’ teams are qualified at the highest level to control and certify the quality of the parts manufactured in our workshops.
