Design tailored to customers' requirements
CNIM Systèmes Industriels’ teams are able to adapt the systems they design to quality and nuclear safety requirements, both in France and internationally.
We have recently supplied 3 nuclear fuel handling machines for the deep geological nuclear fuel repository in Finland.
From the design stage on, our teams incorporated the requirements of the STUK (the Finnish nuclear safety and radiation protection authority) into the machines.

Dedicated large size workshops
Our large format workshops allow us to conduct qualification tests on the systems we produce on our industrial site at La Seyne-sur-Mer, before delivery to the customer.
We also have a dedicated testing team, which allows us to derisk projects by performing factory tests, thereby confirming that all the expected performance levels have been achieved.
A turnkey offering
CNIM Systèmes Industriels provides end-to-end management of the projects entrusted to it: design, procurement, manufacture, assembly, testing, delivery and installation.
Handling and transfer systems
CNIM Systèmes Industriels offers high-precision, safe and secure handling systems for critical packages, from their design to commissioning. Our handling systems comply with the stringent standards and safety requirements of the nuclear sector.
We have extensive experience of spent fuel handling.

Heavy and precise handling systems
As part of the construction of the ITER fusion reactor, CNIM Systèmes Industriels designed and produced non-standard heavy precision handling systems for positioning parts weighing several tonnes with millimetre accuracy.
In May 2020, one of the handling systems was used to balance the base of the ITER cryostat, the heaviest part of the ITER (1250 tonnes), during its handling and final positioning in the tokamak.
Critical package containers
Ensuring the integrity of packages and protecting users from ionising radiation are the challenges addressed by our critical containers.
We design, produce and qualify containers for transporting, storing and handling radioactive / high-added value / critical / heavy packages.
Our ability to work with very high-level specifications allows us to position ourselves as a key partner in the nuclear, defence and deterrence sectors.
